George Orange was an English professional footballer who played as a forward. He scored goals 118 goals in 416 appearances for Frickley Colliery.

Playing career

Orange was born in Grimethorpe, Yorkshireshire and began his football career with Barnsley then Wolverhampton Wanderers, moving to Frickley Colliery for a brief time before being signed by Grimsby Town. Orange returned to Frickley, where he went on to play for over a decade.

Other sports

Orange was also a talented batsman, having played for Frickley Colliery Cricket Club during much of his time as a footballer. He held the record for an opening partnership in the Yorkshire Cricket Council, whilst playing for Frickley.
