Gavri is a religious ritual demonstrated by Bheel Tribe of Mewar, Rajasthan, India. The artists sing songs and dance in this 40 day long opera, which usually comes in the months of September and October. The music is completely based on traditional instruments like Dhol, Mandal, Thali, Manjire and Dholak. The tribe believes that this occasion is to take blessings from god and to be aware of religious responsibilities. This festival is celebrated for over 800 years in Udaipur, Rajsamand and Chittorgarh districts of Rajasthan. During this occasion, people belonging to this tribe are strict in the rules.
