Early life
Grecko was born on June 5, 1989 in Miami, Florida. In an interview with Penthouse magazine, she revealed that her celebrity hairdresser father Michael died from a cocaine overdose when she was 12. Grecko spent her early years being ferried between her unmarried parents. She has a younger step-brother and sister from her mother's subsequent marriage. She is estranged from her step-siblings but remains close to her mother, Kathy Deering. Grecko suffered from ADHD in high school.
Career
Grecko started as a teen model signed with The Diamond Agency in Florida in 1998. After finishing high school she moved to Harlem, New York, where she worked in the Garment District as an assistant designer for three years. After that, she moved to the West Village, where she started her own fashion line Avant Vamp in 2014. While creating her line, she attended 'DJ Scratch Academy' as a strictly-vinyl DJ. She also appeared on the Axis Networks reality show Club Kids (2013–2014). Grecko is currently designing her Avant Vamp line, and undertakes vinyl DJ'ing as well as professional modeling. In 2014, she became Maxim magazine's August covergirl. Maxim also did a special feature on Grecko in July 2014. Gabi also revealed on the same evening that she had taken up the art of burlesque dancing.
Grecko and her husband Geoffrey Edelsten are both contestants on the current season of The Celebrity Apprentice Australia. Grecko was the first eliminated on the show.
Personal life
Grecko met Australian entrepreneur Geoffrey Edelsten, who is 46 years her senior, in New York City and became engaged while in Australia with him. Shortly before Edelsten proposed to Grecko, they had both appeared on KIIS 106.5 where they discussed their relationship. She first appeared publicly at Edelsten's side at AFL legend Tom Hafey's funeral.
Grecko and Edelsten married on 11 June 2015, hours before her Australian Visa was about to expire.
