History
GTB Technologies was originally known as Proxyconn Security, a subsidiary of Proxyconn, Inc. the creators of DSL Speed for Dialup, the first web accelerator for consumers and the inventors of numerous caching and intelligent secure content monitoring algorithms. Released around 2003, the Proxyconn Intelligent Content Monitoring solution was the only system on the market that created a secure Content Wall around an Enterprise Network.
GTB Technologies, Inc. came about as a spin-off with different ownership from Proxyconn Inc. in 2004 to focus solely on the data protection market. GTB Technologies, Inc. is self-funded and independent of any venture financing.
