GAA Scores is a podcast and website about Gaelic Games.

Contents

History

GAA Scores was originally launched as a Twitter account by Conor Donnelly in January 2012, with updates from GAA teams in various countries. The debut match was a Dr. McKenna Cup tie between Derry and UUJ at Celtic Park. The account received almost 1,000 followers on Twitter within the first week. Later that summer a website was founded with news and opinions on Gaelic Games.

The podcast was launched in May 2013 with Conor Donnelly, Pearse Corcoran and Michael O'Connor hosting the first season. Fermanagh footballer Ryan McCluskey replaced O'Connor midway through the second season.

Podcast format

The show is released weekly through iTunes and SoundCloud.

On Thursday 12 February 2015, it was announced that GAA Scores would be linking up with Ulster-based newspaper, Gaelic Life, to bring further coverage of the clubs and county within the province for the rest of the season.
