Controversies

Taddei was criticized by other French journalists like Caroline Fourest and Patrick Cohen because of his vision of freedom of speech. In his TV-show Ce Soir (ou jamais) he invited controversial French personalities such as Dieudonné, Alain Soral, Jean Bricmont, or Marc-Édouard Nabe (one of his friends). These persons are suspected by their critics to have anti-semit opinions, and Taddei was accused of letting anti-semitic persons have freedom of speech in his show (even if no one ever complained about anything that was said in 8 years of broadcasting, except when Matthieu Kassovitz expressed his doubts about the 9/11 case). Taddei and Ce Soir (ou jamais) has been defended by personalities such as Bernard Pivot, Régis Debray, and Alain Jacubowicz (president of the LICRA, the French League Against Racism and Antisemitism).
