Fruitport Community Schools is a school district in Fruitport, Michigan, a village located in Muskegon County. The superintendent of schools is Bob Szymoniak.

High school activities
Fruitport competes at the Class B level in Michigan. Athletic teams for all students are basketball, cross country, soccer, tennis, track, bowling, and golf. Boys sports include football, wrestling, and baseball. Girls sports include competitive cheer, softball, and volleyball.
Football
The 2001 Fruitport Football team went on to play in the state championship game. They lost 28-6 to then undefeated Farmington Hills Harrison. The Farmington team featured future NFL quarterback Drew Stanton. The football program also produced Mike Teeter. Teeter played Division I football at the University of Michigan, and played in the NFL for the Minnesota Vikings and the Houston Oilers. Teeter was elected to the Muskegon Area Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Fruitport Hall of Fame in 2013, (its first class). Chris Hendricks, (see Wrestling below), is currently attending Eastern Michigan University to play football.
The current Head Coach for the Fruitport Football program is Greg Vargas. Vargas was an All-State football player for the Trojans.
Volleyball
Since 2001 the volleyball team has been in the state finals eight times, winning three state championships (2005, 2010, 2011).
Wrestling
The wrestling team was dominate during the 1970s reaching the state finals in 1975. The team has also shared recent success, winning two District titles in the last four years, (2012, 2014). The 2013–2014 team produced nine regional qualifiers, six of whom went on to wrestle at the MHSAA State Championships. Of those six, three wrestlers earned All-State status, including Chris Hendricks, who won the title at 285 pounds. Hendricks became the first individual state champion for Fruitport in any sport since Matt Brink, who, like Hendricks, won the state title at 285 in 1997, the last of his three state titles. The 2014–2015 team, which was barred with injuries, still sent two wrestlers to the state finals. Tony Stong earned honorable mention honors and Levi Six earned All-State status, placing (ironically) sixth place. Wrestling also produced the first ever state champion for Fruitport in Gordie Lee, who won the state title at 112 pounds in 1969.
The current Head Coach for the wrestling program is Rick Sykes. Sykes has previously been the Head Wrestling Coach at Coopersville High School.
