Frederick Kemmelmeyer (c. 1760 - 1821) was a German painter who emigrated to the United States.

Life

He first worked in Baltimore from 1788 to 1803 and then in Alexandria, Virginia, and Georgetown. He was an itinerant painter in Western Maryland.

One of his best known works is President George Washington during the Whiskey Rebellion.
