Frederick Bingham Howden was a missionary bishop to New Mexico and Southwest Texas in The Episcopal Church. His son Reverend Frederick B. "Ted" Howden served with the 200th Coast Artillery during World War II as the unit chaplain, and was part of the Bataan Death March. Ted died 11 December 1942 while in captivity.
