Fredric Myrow (July 16, 1939 – January 14, 1999) was an American composer. He is known for composing the soundtracks for Phantasm, Soylent Green and Scarecrow.

Early life

Myrow was the son of Josef Myrow and grandson of Irving Mills.

Career

Myrow was a friend of Jim Morrison and provided the music for Morrison's experimental film HWY: An American Pastoral.

Myrow co-wrote the score for the film Phantasm in 1979. In 2015, the sound track was re-released on vinyl.

Myrow was also a pianist, and performed live concerts of his compositions.
