Works
Nappi's work include several novels of varying genres: Echoes From The Infantry (winner of Military Writer's Society of America's Silver Medal for Outstanding Fiction 2006), The Legend of Mickey Tussler (later adapted for a television move A Mile in His Shoes starring Dean Cain), Sophomore Campaign, the sequel to Mickey Tussler, and Nobody Has To Know, a psychological thriller that earned the praise of New York Times #1 best-selling author Nelson DeMille who called it "A haunting, briskly-paced page turner that explores the darkest recesses of the human psyche while propelling the reader through an intricate series of hair-raising twists and turns. Nobody Has to Know is a masterfully written tale that is expertly told. Frank Nappi knows how to entertain the reader from start to finish." Nappi's latest, the third book in the Mickey Tussler series, Welcome to the Show, will be released by Skyhorse Publishing in the spring of 2016. Personal life
Nappi resides in Massapequa, New York. He attended Farmingdale High School in Farmingdale, New York, and graduated from Hofstra University. Nappi has taught English and creative writing for over 25 years at Oceanside High School in Oceanside, New York. He lives with his wife Julia and their two sons, Nicholas and Anthony.
Special Events
Nappi participated in the 2014 Summer Author Series for the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum on August 28. He had the opportunity to speak about two of his books, The Legend of Mickey Tussler and Sophomore Campaign. Following his speaking engagement the HOF hosted a book signing, which gave Nappi an opportunity to interact with his readers. This event was previewed in national papers such as the New York Post and spotlighted on the Cooperstown website. Additionally, Nappi received coverage in several local papers including the Massapequan Observer and the Oceanside Herald.
