Franco Margola, born in Orzinuovi (Brescia) on the 30th of October 1908 - died in Nave (Brescia) on the 9th of March 1992, was one of the most important composers in the 20th-century Italian music scene. "He was an indefatigable teacher, lecturer, man of great culture, interested in literature, philosophy, religious history. His style was grounded in the classical tradition, but he was fairly open to the new techniques which were encircling the musical world"
