Between 1987 and 1992 attended Ar.Co in Lisbon. In 1992 he received a scholarship from the same institution at the Royal College of Arts in London, and between 1995 and 1996 scholarship from the Foundation Alfred Topfel in Kunstakademie [Academy of Arts] Münster. From 1996 to 2007 he was professor in the Department of Sculpture of Ar.Co. Having exposed individually for the first time in 1991, since then builds a unique work, incident on sensitive phenomena and the experience of perception. Making use of a heterogeneous formal language, where sculpture, architecture, painting, photography, cinema and theater intersect and combine, their projects defy categorization of artistic genres. His projects create a complex scenic device by combining several elements manufactured, collected or intended by the artist in the specific area in which they appear, challenging any pre-established concept of perception experience. The exhibition "The Assembly of Euclid", held at the Matadero in Madrid in 2007, and "Underwater Treasures of Ancient Egypt" in Chiado8 Area in Lisbon in 2008, are examples. In addition to these exhibitions, we also highlight your project in the Chapel of Casa de Serralves, in 1998, its participation in the Biennale de São Paulo (in collaboration with Lourdes Castro) in 1999, its participation in the "Voices 3" in Lublijana in 2000 and at the 50th Venice Biennale in 2003.
