Fram Reykjavík is one of the oldest basketball teams in Iceland. They are currently playing in the Second Division (Icelandic: 2. deild karla).

Fram Reykjavík was founded on May 1, 1908 in Reykjavík. They currently play at the Kennaraháskólinn arena in Reykjavík, while they practice in Seljaskóli in Breiðholt.

History

In the 1973 Fram Reykjavík won the first Second Division championship, in the year (1973) in which it is founded by the Icelandic Basketball Federation (Icelandic: Körfuknattleikssamband Íslands - KKÍ).

From the following season, the 1974-75 season, Fram Reykjavík starts their leadership on the First Division and their series of wins, that ended in the 1985-86 season when they won their fourth title.

In the 2011-12 season, Fram Reykjavík has qualified for the playoffs but they lost the final to access to the First Division.
