Fouquieria formosa is a species of Fouquieria in the ocotillo family, native to central and southern Mexico (Chiapas, Oaxaca, Guerrero, Puebla, Morelos, Michoacán, México State, Distrito Federal, Jalisco).

Description

Fouquieria formosa is a large shrub or small tree growing to 10 m in height and has spines and red-orange flowers. The flowers are pollinated by hummingbirds.
