Football Wide Bay is a Football Queensland administrative zone encompassing the Wide Bay area, in central Queensland, Australia. In 2010, the 14/15 Wide Bay Development team travelled to Canberra and won the Kanga Cup Shield.

Football Gympie
Football Gympie's predecessor, Gympie and Districts Soccer Association, was formed in 1973. It administers all of the football clubs based in Gympie, Queensland. Football Gympie also runs a competition consisting of six teams, all of whom have their homeground at One Mile Ovals.

Football Hervey Bay
Football Hervey Bay administers 6 clubs based in Hervey Bay, Queensland.
Up until 1998, Hervey Bay Soccer played as part of the Maryborough Soccer Federation under the auspices of the Queensland Soccer Federation - QSF. There were attempts to gain permission for a separate federation in Hervey Bay but these attempts were frustrated.
Eventually, a committee was formed and in 1998 they approached the QCSA Queensland Christian Soccer Association in order to create a local soccer competition in Hervey Bay. After joining the QCSA, the members created four clubs to play in the newly formed Hervey Bay Soccer Association. The clubs were named Bayside Strikers Soccer Club, Fraser Flames Football Club, Kawungan Whales Soccer Club and Sandy Straits Soccer Club.
In 1999, the first representative players were selected for Hervey Bay and they attended the QCSA State Titles on the Sunshine Coast. In 2000, the State titles were held in Hervey Bay.
The next logical step in the development of soccer in Hervey Bay was to rejoin the QSF as a separate Federation within the Wide Bay Zone. This would allow for a development pathway for elite players.
There was a significant growth in membership over the first few years, eventually leading to the formation of a new club. This club was named United Soccer Club. In 2006, yet another new club was formed; Rangers Football Club.
In 2007, the Hervey Bay Soccer Association became Football Hervey Bay (FHB). All of the clubs changed their names from "soccer club" to "Football Club".
In 2008, Football Hervey Bay was renamed as a CA (Competition Administrator) in line with Football Queensland policy. There was also a changing of the guard at executive level.
2008 also saw the re-establishment of an inter-city competition with Maryborough at all competitive age-groups (under 11 upwards).
There are currently 1354 registered players in Hervey Bay, up from 1332 in 2007. This makes FHB the largest sporting group in the area.
The 2009 season saw 3 teams from Hervey Bay and 4 teams from Maryborough contest the Fraser Coast League 1st Division. Hervey Bay's Kawungan took the minor premiership with only 1 loss all season. Sunbury came in 2nd followed by Granville in 3rd and Bayside Strikers in 4th. United finished 2 points short in 5th and Doonvilla 1 point behind them in 6th. Maryborough West finished their debut year in the league with a miserable 2 points from 18 games.
The finals saw Granville take on Bayside at Federation Park in the Elimination Final. After losing to the same team the previous week 4-1, an inspired Bayside prevailed 4-0 progressing to the Pre-liminary Final. The Qualifying Final saw minor premiers Kawungan take on Sunbury at Dolphin Park. After a fiery contest, Sunbury won with a goal in the final minutes to defeat Kawungan 1-0 and secure a home Grand Final.
The following week, Kawungan took on the young Bayside team in the preliminary final at Dolphin Park. Kawungan never looked in the match as Bayside dominated all 90 minutes of the game. An early goal 10 minutes in, devastated the Kawungan team and Bayside ran away with the game 4-0 for the second week in a row. Bayside will play the Grand Final for the first time since the re-entered the 1st division in 2008.
