Foliba Trio is a musical group from Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. The band was founded in 2009 and comprises Tanzo, Sayo Mariam Djibo and Simo Bakary Dagnogo. Accompanied by Adama, the solo guitarist and Madou, the Djembé expert, the Foliba Trio have made recordings featuring hybrid-modern African griots.

Debut album
Foliba Trio submitted demos to local radio stations which generated many listener requests. Matopié Wa (Don’t talk behind my back) has 12 tracks, each a showcase of Malinké beats, Reggae tunes, and hybrid-modern African music. Foliba Trio Matopié Wa is published by IDTS Productions under Farafina Djigui record label. The album was entirely recorded in Abidjan in IDTS Productions studios.
