History

The first Flowfold products were invented by Charles Friedman in 2005. The prototype product was built from scrap sailcloth by Friedman during high school. Friedman, a University of Maine student at the time, passed the idea on to his company who then went on to produce and market the product as the Flowfold.

The first Flowfold products were hand-crafted by Friedman himself. In 2010, Lifethereal produced upwards of 500 wallets.

The current Flowfold logo was designed in 2011.
