Floridatragulus is an extinct genus of Camelids. It lived in North America during the Miocene, about 20.6—15.9 mya, existing for approximately 4.7 million years.

Taxonomy

Floridatragulus was named by White (1940). Its type is Floridatragulus dolichanthereus. It was assigned to Camelidae by White (1940) and Carroll (1988).

Morphology

Four specimens were examined for estimated body mass by M. Mendoza, C. M. Janis, and P. Palmqvist. These specimens were estimated to weigh:

  • 124 kg (270 lb)
  • 66.7 kg (150 lb)
  • 78.0 kg (170 lb)
  • 67.7 kg (150 lb)
