Design and development

The aircraft was designed as a tandem glider for flight training. Test flying was carried out by factory test pilot Richard Bergmann.

The aircraft's 15.1 m (49.5 ft) span wing has 72 cells, a wing area of 43 m2 (460 sq ft) and an aspect ratio of 5.3:1. The pilot weight range is 160 to 210 kg (353 to 463 lb). The glider is DHV 1-2 Biplace certified.

The design progressed through three generations of models, the Twin, Twin 2 and the Twin 3, each improving on the last.
