Entertainment Weekly states that the band's sound hasn't changed much "with the times" with "Five of Everything", and that it sounds like it could have been on their self-titled album.

On February 19, a music video for the song premiered on Yahoo! Music. The video features the band at the studios playing the song. The video was directed by Brian Bowen Smith and edited by B. Love.
