Career

Coghlan retired after the 2014 World Cup. She also captained Ireland to their first Women's Six Nations title in 2013 and made history when they defeated the Black Ferns in the pool games of the 2014 Rugby World Cup.

She studied at the University of Limerick and is a P.E. teacher in Lucan Community College in Dublin Coghlan received The Irish Times Irish Sports Council Sportswoman of the Year 2013.
