Chillemi is a former soccer player of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division 1 Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Prior to his college career, he was a regular member of the US Youth National Soccer Team, and took part in the first IMG Residency Program with teammates Bobby Convey, Landon Donovan, and DaMarcus Beasley. After college, he spent a year playing in Italy with FC Mazzarra, FC Olbia, and Empoli FC, and has retired from play due to an ankle injury. He is a 2009 graduate of Ross University School of Medicine, and is currently pursuing a career in orthopedic surgery, involved with the care of several professional sports teams. He attended Roswell High School in Roswell, Georgia.
