Festive coquette
The festive coquette (Lophornis chalybeus) is a species of hummingbird in the Trochilidae family. It is found in northwestern South America, the region of the western Amazon Basin, in the countries of northwest Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Peru. To the southeast it is found in adjacent Bolivia, a population in Argentina, and a separated range on the southeast coast of Brazil, in the state of EspĂrito Santo and southwest in a 2,000 km (1,200 mi) coastal strip.

Habitat

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and heavily degraded former forest, at altitudes up to 1,000 metres (3,300 ft).
