Ustad Feroz Gul (Sindhi: فيروز گل) was born on 16 June 1943 at Hyderabad. He was a famous musician and composer. He died on 14 October 1996.

Background
The family of Feroz Gul was migrated from Jaisalmer India, where his grandfather Khansahab Aarab Khan was a great classical music artist.
Education
He studied up to class five in Qazi Qayum School Hyderabad and then Training College for men. But, very soon he left school and stepped into the world of music.
Professional career
In 1966 together with Sohail Rana Feroz Gul established a musical club "Feroz Rana Musical Club" at Khai Road Hyderabad, Sindh. It was a gathering point of great musicians. Moosa Kaleem, a poet met him there, who supported him a lot and with his help Feroz Gul made a musical composition for a film Rang Mahal (Sindhi: رنگ محل) in 1969. In this film the singer was Runa Laila and he poet was Musa Kaleem. Feroz Gul was appointed as a musician in Radio Pakistan Hyderabad in 1972 where he recorded his first song of Makhdoom Muhammad Zaman Talib-ul-Mola; "Keinh je dard e muhabat khe dil jan saan zindagi ji ammanat banaey chadiyam" (Sindhi: ڪنهن جي درد محبت کي دل جان سان زندگيءَ جي امانت بنائي ڇڏيم) . His compositions won the hearts of music lovers; he composed music of over 22 films and recorded music for hundreds of cassette albums. Almost all the poetry of Taib ul Mola, sung by Runa Liala is composed by Feroz Gul. His greatest achievement is composing the music for the poetry of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai in the voice of Abida Parveen.
Awards
Along with lots of regional awards, Government of Pakistan had awarded him Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 2011 after his death.
Death
He died on 14 October 1996 due to a heart attack while he was performing with Abida Parveen in New York, US.
