Programs
Thus far, Fawakih has launched a Quranic Arabic and Living the Hadith program, that aim to teach Arabic through Quranic and Hadith studies. The programs take place at Indianapolis, and Fairfax, VA, respectively. Teachers include Ustadh Fahim Qazi, Shaykh Khalil Moore of A.L.I., Imam Magid of ADAMS Center, and Shaykh Hamza Karamali of Sunnipath
The Summer of 2010 included three one-month-long programs: Exploring the Qur'an, The Divine Names, and Prophetic Eloquence.
Curriculum
The program focuses on four main areas of Arabic knowledge, namely grammar, reading/writing, speaking/listening, tajwid. There are tajwid sessions taught on a daily basis, optional sessions on modern Arabic calligraphy in the Ruq`ah script, and enrichment sessions on literature and classical Islamic texts.
The grammar coursework is based on the Qur'anic Linguistics and Ibn Jabal series. Reading is based on classical assorted readings, such as Kalila wa Dimna series, the Qur'an and other texts.
Classes are based on level of familiarity and expertise, ranging between beginners, intermediate and advanced.
