Classic game room fast striker sega dreamcast review pt2
Gameplay

2D arcade shooting game with emphasis on scoring originally developed for NEO·GEO. The game lets the player choose between 3 game modes with different scoring systems. Novice Mode for beginners, Original Mode for classic Shoot’ em Up players and Maniac for very experienced players. It features six stages of excellent 2D arcade game play with over 40 unique enemy types, super smooth 3D scrolling backgrounds, huge CGI bosses and it features the biggest megabit count ever since the beginning of NEO·GEO games.
Differences from Last Hope

In an interview with Dreamcast-Scene NG:Dev.Team were asked to compare Fast Striker with their previous shooter Last Hope, Fast Striker was described as a fast paced reflex action, whereas Last Hope was more bulky, as it required players to memorize the level.
Development
German shooter communities Triggerzone and Daddelking participated in the beta testing of Fast Striker.
Dreamcast

The game comes packaged in Japanese style DVD Dreamcast skin (with the case being black instead of white), two editions are released; a regular edition and a deluxe edition. The deluxe edition has alternate box art and a soundtrack enclosed with the game.

On 2 December 2010 Fast Striker went gold with a tentative release date of December 21, 2010, while NGDEVDIRECT (Developer's online store) shipped the games out on 21 December, Retailers such as Play-Asia and Videogamesnewyork had noted delays in receiving their shipments and adjusted their release dates numerous times.
FAST STRIKER for Dreamcast started shipping on December 21, 2010; the game was well received.
Spanish multiplatform game magazine Games Tribune covered Fast Striker in their February 2011 issue (published January 28, 2011), scoring 70%. It was Games Tribune's first review of a Dreamcast game ever. A preview article had already been published in their December 2010 issue.
