History
Prior to 1978, the FM 2215 designation was assigned to a road in Erath County near Stephenville along a 1.2 miles (1.9 km) stretch between FM 8 and US 67; this version of FM 2215 was in effect between 1954 and 1967. The current FM 2215 was commissioned in 1978, though it is unclear as to when FM 2215 was completed. The road replaced a narrow, bumpy county road that was in existence through most of the 1970s.
