Farm to Market Road 1523 (FM 1523) is a 7.976 mi (12.836 km) Farm to Market Road in Culberson County, Texas maintained by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).

Route description
The southern terminus is at a junction with US 90, near the abandoned community of Lobo. The route travels west to an intersection with FM 2017, which begins to the south while FM 1523 turns to the north. The route ends at another junction with US 90.
History
FM 1523 was designated in Camp County in 1949 from SH 11 at Newsome to a road intersection. In 1951, this route was removed from the state highway system. The currently designated FM 1523 was established in 1951.
