In the second half of 2012 he created awareness with his EP "Millenium", which entered top five releases of the week on Beatport. In 2016, his single "Tell Me" caught an eye of Don Diablo, who subsequently signed his collaboration with Dropgun "Fever" to Hexagon.
Early life
Sultan Karimov was born on 13 September, 1993 in Saumalkol, Kazakhstan. Sultan’s talent and passion for music emerged early. Before the age of three he was already able to easily pick out tunes on a synthesizer purchased for him by his father. Throughout his childhood, he was actively involved in music at his school. But by 15 years old, he knew that simply playing someone else’s music wasn’t enough: he wanted to create something of his own. In spite of his lack of training and equipment, Sultan was driven by a powerful desire to make music. Within two years, he released his first track.
Under the influence of artists such as Daft Punk, Justice, Wolfgang Gartner, Sultan threw himself into his electronic music production, releasing diverse tracks that drew the attention of fans well beyond the borders of his native Kazakhstan. Early on in his career, his music earned him support from the likes of The Chainsmokers, Porter Robinson, Matisse & Sadko, and other established artists around the world. His captivating 2013 remix of Martin Solveig’s “The Night Out” in particular boosted his ever-increasing fan base.
In the spring of 2016, Sultan’s music caught the attention of Dutch DJ and music producer Don Diablo, who subsequently released his track on his label Hexagon (Spinnin’ Records).
