Faristenia nakatanii is a moth in the Gelechiidae family. It is found in Japan (Kyushu, Ryukyus).

The length of the forewings is 5.6–6 mm for males and 5.6-6.3 mm for females. The forewings are dark brownish grey, irrorated with whitish grey and the costa broadly sprinkled with whitish grey from the base to before the middle and margined with fuscous beyond the middle. There are two obscure narrow fuscous short streaks at one-sixth and one-fourth. The hindwings are pale brownish grey, scattered with ochreous and with the veins darker than the ground color.

The larvae feed on Distylium racemosum.
