Farid Elias Khazen (also Farid Elias el-Khazen) is a Lebanese politician and professor of political science at the American University of Beirut.

Education

Farid received a PhD in international studies from Johns Hopkins University. He also earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Missouri State University. In addition, he briefly studied at Cornell University.

Work

Farid has been a professor and Chairman of Political Studies at the American University of Beirut. He is also a current MP affiliated with the Free Patriotic Movement. He received 52.4% of the vote in his district in the general election of 2009, and he won 60% of the vote in the general election of 2005. He makes regular media appearances, discussing a variety of topics.
