The Fairfield University School of Engineering is a graduate and undergraduate engineering school and one of the professional schools of Fairfield University located in Fairfield, Connecticut.   • 1994: Fairfield University acquired the Bridgeport Engineering Institute.
  • 1996: Electrical and mechanical engineering programs accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
  • 1998: Master of Science offered in management of technology and software engineering.
  • 1999: School of Engineering becomes a separate undergraduate school.
  • 2006: Software and computer engineering programs accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
  • 2010: Henry Luce Foundation awarded grant to the School of Engineering to establish the Clare Boothe Luce Professorship in Mechanical Engineering for an outstanding woman engineer/scholar.
  • 2010: Boehringer Ingelheim donated $700K of industrial robotic equipment to the School of Engineering to be used in the school's automated manufacturing engineering curriculum.
