History
FPT Software was founded in 1999 and was originally a strategic unit of FPT Corporation.
The financial crisis and fluctuations within Vietnam’s economy in 1997 and 1998 placed many companies including FPT, at a disadvantage. FPT sought to reach out to the world, like other global companies, and provide software outsourcing services. FPT Software was founded to serve this purpose.
FPT Software is now the largest IT services outsourcing company in Vietnam.
