FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 1989

The FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 1989 were held February 2–12 in the United States at Vail, Colorado. Outside of the Winter Olympics of 1960 and 1980, the alpine world championships returned to the U.S. for the first time since 1950, which were also in Colorado at Aspen.

Vail and Beaver Creek later hosted the World Championships a decade later, in 1999, and again in 2015.
