Analysis

It is a scene of a pilgrimage. There are four men walking in the attitude of the sword dance. Generally white dress, hat and belt with a red scarf in contrast to what they do. In this painting, and "Pilgrimage"series, the whole range of chromaticism by Arteta is very striking. In 1913, Aurelio Arteta was commissioned to do a series of paintings, as a group. All the paintings are in the theme of pilgrimage for the dining room, of Zuiako Marquis was at Murgia (Araba).
