Eye of the Storm is a novel by John Ringo, as part of the Legacy of the Aldenata series. It is set after the defeat of the Posleen on Earth, and introduces a new threat from outside the galaxy - the Hedren.
Contents
Plot
Michael O'Neal, now a general in charge of removing the Posleen from conquered planets must face new challenges, both from his superiors, and a new group of races intending Galactic conquest. To face the threat, he must come to terms with betrayal and his family.
Themes
Many characters and threads from previous novels in the series are brought together in this book. The Waffen-SS unit from Watch on the Rhine, the USS Des Moines from Yellow Eyes and many others are woven into the narrative.
