1989 - Expert System S.p.A. is founded in Modena, Italy
1992 - Specializing in linguistic analysis and semantic technology, the company launches its first software, “Errata Corrige”
1994 - The Company licenses an enhanced version of Errata Corrige to Microsoft to spell check text in Italian
1999 - The first version of the Cogito semantic technology is developed, and the company orients itself to a B2B business model B2B
2007 - Cogito is patented in the United States
2009 - Expert System opens its first offices in the US
2009 - The company spins off its semantic advertising solution to form ADmantX, helping publishers, ad networks and ad exchanges, advertisers and agencies improve their online ad campaigns with semantic technology
2014 - After a successful IPO, Expert System begins trading on the AIM Italian Stock Exchange under the symbol EXSY
2015 - Expert System acquires TEMIS
