Everyday Value is a now defunct punk rock band formerly stationed in Skiatook, Oklahoma and signed to the also-defunct "NextStep Records". The members of this band were Max Porter (bass, vocals), Jed Skalnik (drums, percussion), Kris Payne (guitar, vocals), Luke Chronister (lead vocals, piano), and Mark Chronister (guitar, vocals). Their only formal release was the mini-album "At The Third Lion's Roar...". This album was originally intended as a demo, with several early printings tagged "full album coming soon". When it became apparent that they would not be able to expand upon the work, the tag was dropped.

Another interesting thing to note is that track one on the album- "Manifestation Of The New Armies"- is misspelled as "Mannifestation".

Everyday Value created and has maintained to this day a kind of cult status, rekindled by a recent reunion concert held at the "Pink Eye" club in Tulsa, where they played a wide range of their best known works as well as some rare demos. A drawing was also held to give away a collection of every song they'd ever recorded, including "At The Third Lion's Roar", the "Stars And Stripes" EP, and a collection of early demos, including an ever elusive "rap". At the same concert, albums were sold as "Limited Edition, OMFG", although it is unclear as to whether there were any significant changes to the album.

The band broke up for various reasons, mostly personal complications within the band and the stress of touring. Nearly all the members went on to form their own projects, to varying degrees of success. The chances of another concert ever occurring are extremely slim, with most members spread throughout the country, several of them off at college - most notably Max Porter, who is currently attending Yale University and Kris Payne who lives and works in Brooklyn, NY as a photographer.

Max Porter, Mark Chronister, and Jed Skalnik went on to form the band "The Programme" (an instrumental rock band. Luke Chronister went on to form "Tiger Eye Lilly" later changing the name to "Astellaway". Jed Skalnik also formed an acoustic band by the name of "Day".
