History
Siblings Joshua, David, and Jessica Coba founded European Wax Center as single salon in Aventura, Florida in 2004. In 2008, the siblings started selling European Wax Center franchises.
Since the European Wax Center opened its first franchise in Florida in 2005, the company has opened more than 166 franchises, with another 110 sold.
Franchises use a four-step waxing process.
Recognition
Recently European Wax Center was named #1 of the Top 10 franchises and #82 on the list of fastest-growing companies by INC magazine in their annual INC 500 survey. According to INC magazine, the franchise has experienced a 3-year growth of 2,924%. In 24 months, European Wax Center grew from a local Florida-based business into a franchise giant with locations in 26 states. In the Dallas market alone, expectations are to open 17 new locations, by 2012. European Wax Center projects ending 2011 with a 362% revenue increase, over 2010.
