The European Parliament Intergroup on LGBTI Rights is an intergroup of the European Parliament's legislators which focuses upon the right of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people both inside and outside the European Union. It collaborates with other LGBT associations such as ILGA-Europe.

Presidency

It is headed by co-presidents Daniele Viotti and Ulrike Lunacek; vice-presidents include Sophie in 't Veld, Malin Björk, Sirpa Pietikäinen, Tanja Fajon, Ian Duncan and Fabio-Massimo Castaldo.

Other members

As of January 2017 (in the eighth European Parliament) the organisation consists of 152 members, including the aforementioned.

  • 20 of The Greens–European Free Alliance (Greens–EFA)
  • 19 of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE)

  • 5 of the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR)
  • 5 of Europe of Freedom and Direct Democracy (EFDD)

    The current secretary is Evert Jan Jacobsen since 2014.
