European Pétanque Championships are organised by the C.E.P. - "Confédération Européenne de Pétanque" - (European Pétanque Confederation) in collaboration with Europeans Member Countries Federations.

- Youth (under 18 years old) :
- Open Triple Game Championships, teams of 4 players.
- Precision Shooting Championships, one player.
- Held in even numbered years
- Accounted for Selection to World Championships
- Women (Senior) :
- Triple Game Championships, teams of 4 players.
- Precision Shooting Championships, one player.
- Held in even numbered years (same time as Youth Championships)
- Accounted for Selection to World Championships
- Espoirs U23 (under 23 years old) :
- Young Women Team Championships / Games combination by encounter: 1x Triple game + (1 Double game and 1 Single game played simultaneously ) - teams of 4 players.
- Young Men Team Championships / Games combination by encounter: 1x Triple game + (1 Double game and 1 Single game played simultaneously ) - teams of 4 players.
- Held in odd numbered years (same time as Youth Championships)
- Men (Senior) :
- Triple Game Championships, teams of 4 players.
- Precision Shooting Championships, one player.
- Single Game (since 2016)
