Molodysky has served as the President of the Australasian College of Nutritional & Environmental Medicine (ACNEM); the Foundation Chair of GP Synergy, and the Chair of the Medical Education Committee, NSW Faculty of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).

Molodysky was also appointed to the Medical Board of NSW (now known as the Medical Council of NSW]), and as the Head of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Taskforce Medical Team, Office of the Prime Minister.

Background

Molodysky obtained a MBBS from the University of Sydney (1977) and a postgraduate diploma from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG), (1980). In 2000, he completed a PhD at the University of Sydney. Molodysky has served as the Visiting Medical Specialist in General Practice at St Vincent's Private Hospital since 1985.

Honours

Molodysky was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in 2008 for service to medical education, through clinical teaching, curriculum and professional development and research into cervical cancer prevention. In 2015, he was awarded the ACNEM Braham Rabinov Award.

Contributions to Medicine

  • 1982 - One of the first to identify HIV patients with the Cell Mediated Immunity (CMI) test.
  • 1982 - Established Australia's first HIV Clinic, the Eastside Medical Centre, in Paddington.
  • 2000 - PhD thesis foreshadowed the clinical utility of human papillomavirus (HPV) testing for screening & early detection of cervical cancer.
  • 2003 - Introduced & implemented the first Clinical Teachers Training Strategic Plan.
  • 2008 - Awarded Order of Australia for services to medical education and research into cervical cancer.
  • 2016 - Launched the first edition of the nutritional medicine-based Australian Primary Care Curriculum as President of ACNEM.
