Early filmmaking on YouTube

Clerc began making short films on YouTube in 2010. Clerc's early experience with YouTube taught him the basics of script writing and video editing. He produced his first viral video not long after he started. In November 2011, Clerc released Angry Birds in Real Life on YouTube. Due to the popularity of the Angry Birds video game, Clerc utilized Autodesk Maya to add 3D animated birds to a live action video. As of January 2016, the video had received 2.9 million views. The YouTube channel Jack102597 had received a cumulative 5.8 million views according to the YouTube analytics website, Social Blade.

Production of feature length films

Between 2013 and 2016, Clerc produced three feature length films. He funded all three films using Kickstarter. He raised $655 for his first film, Mousetrap. The film was released in May 2013.

For Clerc's second film, a sequel to Mousetrap entitled Mousetrap 2, he tripled his fundraising goal and raised $1,776. After writing the script and shooting the film, Clerc worked with an international team of people for pre- and post-production. A VFX studio in Algeria handled special effects, color correction was performed by a color corrector from Florida, and a storyboard artist who worked with Breaking Bad created the storyboard. The film premiered in November 2014.

Clerc wrote a 70 page script for his third film, Sundog. Clerc tripled his fundraising goal again and raised $5,600 via Kickstarter. Scenes were filmed in both Windom and Chicago. Sundog premiered in January 2016

Other work

In addition to making films, Clerc films city council meetings for the City of Windom, films live sports for Crew 22, and runs a clothing line called TEEWIN.
