Contents

The stadium was supposed to be inaugurated in May, 2010, to commemorate the 200 years of the May Revolution. Delays, however, have meant that the stadium was inaugurated on March 16, 2011 with the Argentina – Venezuela match which Argentina won by a score of 4–1.

The stadium was one of the two venues of the 2013 South American Youth Championship and hosted Group B in the first stage.
