Erasmus Student Network Czech Republic (ESN CZ) is a non-for-profit student organisation, a part of the European Erasmus Student Network, representing Czech local sections at the national level. It caters for approx. 2000 international exchange students every academic year.
Contents
It functions as a middle part in system of ESN: international - national - local levels. It coordinates activities of individual sections, ensures an efficient knowledge sharing, engages its members in international projects as well as actively brings new ideas into the development of the organization as a whole.
Management
ESN CZ is managed by the ESN CZ Board which consists of several positions:
In 2008 a Czech representative Markéta Ťoková was elected a president of ESN International.
Members
Each member represents a local ESN section - an independent student organization taking care of international exchange students at a local university. Currently, there are 16 ESN CZ members:
In 2011 ISC MU Brno won the Section in the Spotlight award which was a great success for the whole ESN ČR. This success was followed in April 2013 by ISC VUT Brno which was also given the Section in the Spotlight award.
In 2016 ESN CULS Prague won the STARter award for the best new section of the year 2015/2016 and ESN CZ was given the 3rd place of STARland award (the best ESN country).
Meetings
ESN CZ organizes regular meetings of Board members and sections' representatives at the national level. These are called National Platforms and take place twice a year. The objectives of NPs is to share knowledge between the members and to promote mutual cooperation.
