The acute-care facility provided inpatient and outpatient medical services, including 24-hour emergency care. It was designated as a "critical-access facility" by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) program for hospitals in rural communities.
The hospital was established in 1949 and joined the Franciscan Health System in 2007.

Replacement
Enumclaw Regional Hospital was replaced by St. Elizabeth Hospital in February 2011. The space south of Battersby Avenue was turned into patient and visitor parking.
