An Enterprise Centre is a centre that specializes on business growth in the local and surrounding areas where it is located. It also is useful in starting a business because it's embedded in the local business community and it understands the local issues, strengths and weaknesses. They support businesses by offering mentoring to businesses and affordable office rental.
Ireland
In Ireland, there is the National Association of Community Enterprise Centres (NACEC) which supports community enterprise centres on a national basis. It has developed enterprise centres in areas with low employment and population, to encourage growth. It does so with the support of Enterprise Ireland, County Enterprise boards and Local Development groups.
