Emperor International Holdings Limited (英皇集團(國際)有限公司) is an investment holding company, which is principally engaged in property investments, property development and self-run hotel with a total GFA of 4.8 million sq. ft. in Hong Kong, Macau and China.

The Company and its subsidiaries develop and manage a wide range of property development projects, comprising large-scale integrated complexes, office buildings, shopping malls, luxurious residential blocks, industrial buildings and hotels in Hong Kong, Macau and other major cities in the Mainland China.

The Company registered at Bermuda. The chairperson (non-executive director) is LUK SIU MAN, SEMON. In 2005, net assets of the company is HKD 3,435,347,000 ,net profit is HKD 471,221,000 。

History

In 1942, a small-sized watch and clock retail shop operated under the name of Shing On Kee at 149 Shanghai Street, Kowloon marked the starting point of the history of the Emperor Group.

In 1963, the present Chairman Dr Albert Yeung succeeded the watch shop and started to build the brand name “Emperor Group” and subsequently expanded into other business areas.

In 1990, acquired listed company Emperor International Holdings Limited (SEHK: 0163) and turned it into the flagship for major business including property investment & development.

In 1991, acquired Emperor Entertainment Hotel Limited (SEHK: 296) and through it participated in property development business in the PRC, later entered gaming operation in Macau.

In 2007, Emperor International Holdings Limited spun off its brokerage operations Emperor Capital Group Limited(SEHK: 717)and listed on main board of Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

In 2008, New Media Group Holdings Limited (SEHK: 708), a Hong Kong magazine publisher, had its initial public offering and spun off from Emperor Group to list on main board of Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
