Early life
Emmett James Humphries was born on 4 February 1977 in Croydon, South London. Growing up in London (as documented in his memoir Admit One: My Life In Film) he subsequently finished his secondary schooling in Cambridge, England. He returned to London to study acting with Marianna Hill at the Lee Strasberg Institute, before eventually making the move to Los Angeles in the 90s to pursue a career acting in film and television.
Career
He has worked extensively as a thespian in every single medium, from voicing a number one video game franchise to having a recurring role on America’s oldest running soap opera. Projects he has lent his talents to have been honored with Oscars, and Golden Globe, SAG, Emmy, and BAFTA awards. Emmett was also presented with a prestigious ADA award for his work on the Los Angeles stage for his lead role as the severely disabled boy in 'Keeping Tom Nice'.
In addition to acting, he has produced, taught, and directed film, stage, and television productions in Hollywood and London.
